Rivaling Samsung, Xiaomi slashes prices of this popular Mi TV
Xiaomi has slashed the prices of its recently launched Mi TV 4 Pro 55-inch model in India. The popular Android TV has received a price revision of Rs. 2,000 and it now retails at Rs. 47,999. Notably, this price drop by Xiaomi comes a day after Samsung launched its online-exclusive range of 4K UHD Smart TVs in India. Here's everything to know.

Recalling the "World's thinnest Android TV"
With a thickness of 4.9mm, the Mi TV 4 Pro 55 features a 55-inch HDR frameless display with 4K resolution. It is powered by a 64-bit Amlogic quad-core processor, paired with Mali-450 GPU, 2GB RAM and 8GB of internal storage. Further, this model offers 20W stereo speakers, DTS-HD surround sound, built-in Chromecast, as well as Google Voice Search via Bluetooth-enabled remote.
This Mi TV model also offers 700,000+ hours of content
Mi TV 4 Pro 55-inch model comes loaded with more than 700,000 hours of content from partners like Prime Video, Jio Cinema, ALTBalaji, Hungama, and SonyLIV. It also offers several connectivity options including Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth v4.2, three HDMI ports, two USB ports, AV Input and one Ethernet port among others. Notably, this Mi TV also supports several Indian languages.
Meanwhile, here's a look at Samsung's Super 6 Series TVs
As part of its online exclusive Super 6 Series of smart TVs, Samsung has launched three new 4K LED televisions in India. These TVs, available in 43-inch, 50-inch, and 55-inch sizes, come with Live Cast, Tune Station, Screen Mirroring, Lag-Free Gaming, and 60,000+ TV titles. Moreover, they run on Samsung's Tizen OS and pack 20W speakers, two HDMI ports and one USB port.
Pricing and availability of Samsung's 6 Series TVs
Samsung's 43-inch Super 6 TV costs Rs. 41,990, while the 50-inch and 55-inch models are priced at Rs. 51,990, and Rs. 61,990, respectively. Notably, all three models are now available in India via Samsung India e-store and Flipkart with an additional discount of Rs. 2,000.
