As an upgrade to the flagship Mi Notebook Pro 15, Chinese tech giant Xiaomi has launched a new Enhanced Edition in its home country. The latest model retains the MacBook Pro-like design of its predecessor while packing an upgraded processor, more SSD storage, and a new sound card. In China, the Mi Notebook Pro 15 Enhanced Edition will go on sale from November 1.
Mi Notebook Pro 15 Enhanced Edition: At a glance
The new Enhanced Edition of the Mi Notebook Pro 15 retains the design of the standard model, featuring a MacBook Pro-like screen with narrow bezels, a metal body, a full-size backlit keyboard, and a large trackpad. As for dimensions, it weighs about 2 kilograms and is 16.9mm thick. Further, it offers a 15.6-inch full-HD (1920x1080 pixels) screen with 100% sRGB high colour gamut coverage.
Under the hood
The Mi Notebook Pro 15 Enhanced Edition is powered by the 10th-generation Intel Core i7-10510U processor, combined with up to 16GB of RAM, NVIDIA GeForce MX250 GPU and up to 1TB of storage. The device runs on Windows 10 and packs a 60Wh battery that should offer an all-day battery life. Under the hood, it also features a dual-fan system for improved temperature management.
Connectivity options on the Mi Notebook Pro 15 Enhanced Edition
In terms of connectivity, the Mi Notebook Pro 15 Enhanced Edition supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and packs a bunch of I/O ports including an HDMI port, USB Type-C Port, as well as a headphone jack. There is also a 1MP camera that offers 720p video calling.
Pricing and availability
The Mi Notebook Pro 15 Enhanced Edition is priced at 6,999 yuan (Rs. 70,100) for the premium model with i7 chipset, 16GB RAM, and 1TB storage. The pricing details of other variants remain unclear at present. And while we don't know about the availability of the laptop in India, it is available for pre-ordering in China and will hit the shelves starting November 1.
