Xiaomi to launch Mi MIX 4 flagship phone in 2021
Talking about Xiaomi's plans for the year, Lei Jun, the company's CEO, has confirmed that the flagship Mi MIX 4 will be launched later in 2021. The tech giant is planning to resurrect its MIX line-up three years after MIX 3 was unveiled. As per the rumors, the MIX 4 will come with a Snapdragon 888 chipset, an AMOLED screen, and quad rear cameras.
Mi MIX 4: At a glance
The Mi MIX 4 will feature an edge-to-edge display with ultra-slim bezels, curved edges, and a premium build quality. It will also have an IP68-rated dust and water resistance. On the rear, it will have a quad camera unit. The handset is said to sport a 6.4-inch QHD+ (1440x3120 pixels) AMOLED screen with a pixel density of 537ppi.
For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers
The Mi MIX 4 will sport a quad rear camera setup comprising a 108MP primary sensor, a 16MP secondary lens, a 12MP tertiary camera, and another 8MP shooter. For selfies and video calling, it will offer a 32MP front-facing snapper.
Under the hood
The Mi MIX 4 will most likely be fueled by a Snapdragon 888 processor, combined with at least 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Under the hood, it will run on Android 11-based MIUI 12.5 and pack a 4,500mAh battery with fast charging support. For connectivity, the device should offer support for Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, 5G, NFC, and a Type-C port.
What about the price?
The official pricing and availability details of the Mi MIX 4 will be revealed at the time of launch, which is expected to happen later this year. However, going by the rumored specifications, it is likely to cost around Rs. 60,000.
