Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 will support face unlock as well
Apple's iPhone X with its Face ID feature has popularized 3D face scanning technology. However, while the Apple flagship packed all the gadgetry within a notch, Xiaomi has opted to enclose all face scanning sensors within the front camera slider. A new video shared on YouTube highlights the face unlock feature on the Mi Mix 3 and it appears to be really fast.
Mi Mix 3: At a glance
Thanks to previous leaks and official teasers, we know Mi Mix 3 will feature an edge-to-edge all-screen design with an ultra-slim bottom chin - much like OPPO Find X. Interestingly, Xiaomi's product marketing director for mobile phones, Zhi Zhiyuan, earlier revealed that upcoming flagship will have a screen resolution of 1080x2340 pixels. And this translates to a 19.5:9 aspect ratio on Mi Mix 3.
Mi Mix 3 will run on a Snapdragon 845 processor
Further, like other 2018 flagship smartphones, the upcoming Xiaomi flagship will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, paired with up to 10GB RAM and possibly up to 512GB of storage. Moreover, the Mi Mix 3 will offer 5G speeds and this has already been confirmed by the company. We also expect the phone to support wireless charging.
