Mi A3's Android 10 update rolled back for third time
Xiaomi is struggling to release a stable Android 10 update for its Mi A3 smartphone. The company has once again rolled back the new update after major bugs came to light. Notably, the concerned software has been withdrawn twice before as well. To recall, Mi A3 comes under the Android One program, which promises at least two years of OS upgrades, according to Google.
Here's some of the issues highlighted by users
Xiaomi first released the update in late February but quickly retracted it after serious bugs were reported by users. A similar bug-ridden update was delivered and rolled back in mid-March and now, for the third time, in April. According to Mi A3 users, all three updates caused issues such as battery drain, random reboots, performance lag, and inconsistency with the in-screen fingerprint sensor.
So, when to expect Mi A3 update?
At present, there is no known timeline regarding the release of the update. However, given Xiaomi is already releasing an Android 10-based MIUI 11 update for some of its other handsets, we can expect it to fix the bugs and release a stable version soon.
Meanwhile, here's recalling the Mi A3
