Amid the coronavirus pandemic that has claimed more than 20,000 lives worldwide, Xiaomi India has postponed the launch of its much-awaited flagship, the Mi 10. The premium handset, which was set to be launched in the country on March 31, will now be announced at a later date. Here are more details.

The Mi 10 comes with an edge-to-edge curved screen with a small display cut-out at the top left corner. The smartphone features a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a Full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. It houses an in-screen fingerprint sensor for secure biometric authentication, and is offered in Ice Blue, Peach Gold, and Titanium Silver color options.
The smartphone houses an impressive 108MP quad camera
The quad camera setup on the Mi 10 comprises a 108MP (f/1.7) primary sensor, a 13MP (f/2.4) ultra-wide-angle camera, and a couple of 2MP (f/2.4) lenses for macro photography and depth sensing. For the selfie lovers, the handset houses a 20MP (f/2.0) front-facing snapper. Further, the main camera can record 4K video at 30fps, while the selfie snapper supports full-HD video recording at 30fps.
Plus, it packs top-tier internal hardware
The Mi 10 draws power from a 5G-ready Snapdragon 865 octa-core processor, paired with up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB of storage. It runs on Android 10-based MIUI 11 and packs a 4,780mAh battery that supports 30W wired and wireless fast charging. The standard connectivity options on the handset include dual-SIMs (Nano), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, and a Type-C port.
No official word on the India pricing as of now
There is no official word on the pricing of Mi 10 in India as of now. But, considering that the handset starts at CNY 3,999 (approximately Rs. 41,000) in China, it is likely to arrive at a similar price.
