    What's the story

Mercedes-Benz India has launched its Maybach S650 car in the country at the ongoing Auto Expo 2018.

With a long wheelbase model, the luxury car will start selling at a price of Rs. 2.73 crore (ex-showroom).

Topping the Mercedes-Benz S-Class line-up, it will replace Mercedes-Benz's S600 model in India. Besides this, the Indian market already has the Maybach S500 car.

    Details

The Maybach S650 gets new bumper, 20-inch alloy wheels

The Maybach S650 car will feature a revised bumper and larger air dams. This updated front-end comes as an attempt to match (or one-up!) the S-Class line-up that recently went through a face-lift itself.

The sedan vehicle also gets new LED headlamps, new tail lamps, and 20-inch alloy wheels instead of the 19-inch ones that are on the S500.

    Features

Its Mercedes-Benz's first car with a Bharat Stage VI engine

    The Maybach S650 comes with a 7-speed automatic transmission and sports a 6-liter V12 bi-turbo engine.

It is said that its output of 620 hp and peak torque of 1,000 Nm is enough to uproot trees.

This is the first Mercedes-Benz car to get a Bharat Stage VI engine and India is the only country it will be manufactured in except Germany.

    All-Terrain E Class

Mercedes also unveiled its All-Terrain E Class car

The German automaker also showcased its new All-Terrain E Class at the Auto Expo.

With this, Mercedes-Benz aims to give a preview of how electric cars are in line to become the new normal.

Calling the E-Class All Terrain a lifestyle-oriented and resilient vehicle, the company said it perfectly combines the look of an SUV with the spacing of a sedan.
