Xiaomi Mi 6 finally launched
Xiaomi has launched the Mi 6, one of the most anticipated smartphones of the year at an event in China. As expected the phone comes with a range of new features, enhanced hardware and improved performance. It also comes with a new 3350 mAh battery that lasts longer. The phone is also designed to operate on battery saving procedures like limiting background data.
New features in Mi 6
The Mi 6 is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 processor, which is 35% smaller and 25% more efficient than its predecessor. It comes with 6GB of DDR4 RAM, the Adreno 540 GPU and a 5.15-inch 1080p display. The phone also comes with a dual camera set-up at the rear; one 12MP wide-angle and one 12MP telephoto lens.
Aesthetics of the Mi 6
The Mi 6 is encased in a 4-sided curved glass, and the company insists that it has been crafted like a high-end watch. Designers say that it also comes with a perfectly symmetrical design, with the antenna lines aligned to the display and the SIM card slot aligned to the volume keys. It comes with a fingerprint scanner embedded under the display.
Pricing and variants
The Mi 6 comes in 3 variants. The basic one with 64GB storage for Rs. 23,500, the higher-end model with 128GB storage for Rs. 27,000 and a Ceramic version for Rs. 29,000.
