MediaTek's flagship Dimensity 9300 chip to launch on November 6
MediaTek is set to unveil its latest flagship mobile chipset on November 6, with the anticipated name being the Dimensity 9300, succeeding the previous year's Dimensity 9200. The Dimensity 9300 a.k.a D9300 has made its presence known on benchmarking sites such as AnTuTu and Geekbench, showcasing impressive performance potential. Upcoming smartphones, including the Vivo X100 series and OPPO Find X7, are expected to be powered by this chip.
Rumored specifications and record-breaking benchmark scores
MediaTek has not yet disclosed the specifications of Dimensity 9300. However, it is believed to include four Cortex X4 cores, four large Cortex A720 cores, and an Immortalis G720 MC12 GPU. The chip will likely support LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage, similar to its predecessor. Recently, a device equipped with D9300 chip achieved a record-breaking AnTuTu benchmark score of 20,55,084 points. The individual scores included 4,85,064 for CPU, 8,99,463 for GPU, 3,57,691 for memory, and 3,12,866 for UX tests.
Expected smartphone releases featuring MediaTek's latest flagship chipset
Vivo will introduce the Vivo X100 and X100 Pro on November 17, with both likely to feature the Dimensity 9300 SoC. The X100 line-up will also include X100 Pro+, which will be powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The handset may debut in Q1 2024. Additionally, an OPPO device bearing the model number PHZ110 was spotted on Geekbench with the D9300 chip, leading to speculation that it will be released in Q1 2024 as the OPPO Find X7.
