Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza AGS launched at Rs. 8.54 lakh
Maruti Suzuki has unveiled the Auto Gear Shift (AGS) variants of its compact SUV Vitara Brezza in India. Starting at a price of Rs. 8.54 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), these variants get minimal upgrades in both the exteriors and interiors, along with some safety features. The new Vitara Brezza AGS comes in four variants
The car comes in four variants- VDi, ZDi, ZDi+ and ZDi+ Dual Tone. Price starts from Rs. 8.54 lakh (ex-showroom) for the VDi model. The top-spec ZDi+ variant is priced at Rs. 10.27 lakh and the Dual-tone variant will cost an extra Rs. 22,000.
The car gets minor styling updates for a fresher look
The exterior of the Vitara Brezza AGS gets some minor visual changes such as new alloy wheels in a glossy black finish, a new chrome grille in the front, and rear door chrome garnishing. Notably, these cosmetic updates are standard across all variants along with an all black interior with complementing accents.
Under the hood
Maruti Suzuki has offered automatic transmission gearbox only with a diesel engine option. Moreover, there is no other mechanical change and these variants will continue to be powered by a 1.3 liter, 4-cylinder, turbo diesel engine. Mated to a 5-speed gearbox, the engine generates 88.8 bhp power at 4,000rpm and 200 Nm torque at 1,750 rpm.
Maruti has added several safety features
Maruti has offered several safety features which now come as standard across all variants of the new Vitara Brezza. The car complies with pedestrian safety and comes with features like ISOFIX child restraint system, dual airbags, and high-speed warning alert. The company has also offered ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) with EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution), reverse parking sensors, front seatbelt pre-tensioners and force limiters.
