Man 'walks in' on himself in Zoom meeting. How exactly?
What's the story
With video calls on the rise, it is not totally uncommon to see people walk in on virtual meetings.
It can happen to anyone. But, just recently, a man puzzled netizens completely by sharing, what looked like, a video showing him accidentally walking in on himself in an ongoing Zoom meeting.
Here's how he managed to do it.
Video
Clip showing the 'walk in' trick
Video producer Dan Crowd recently shared a clip that showed him speaking on a video call.
Everything looked normal in the beginning, but then, out of nowhere, the door behind him opened and another Crowd walked in.
He looked for a bit, realized that call is going on and walked out of the room, just like anyone else would.

Reaction
Netizens were puzzled by the clip
Crowd's clip looked so realistic that anyone could easily fall for the idea that the person walking in accidentally was his clone or twin brother.
However, as the video producer highlighted in the caption, it is just the result of a background he created for Zoom meetings.
Evidently, Twitter users were impressed but completely puzzled at the same time.
Tricks
Zoom offers the ability to set virtual backgrounds
To clear things up, this background is the result of a feature in Zoom that allows you to set virtual backgrounds for video calls.
The capability offers some landscapes as background choices, or you can also upload your own photo/video as a personalized background, which is exactly what Crowd did to make himself walk in on himself during an ongoing call.
Traction
So far, his video has raked in 4+ million views
At the time of writing, the puzzling Zoom call video shared by Crowd had raked in more than 4 million views, over 434,000 likes, and nearly 80,000 retweets.
Many have even tried copying his trick to make their triplets and freak out participants in virtual meetings.
It's all pretty easy as long as you know how to prepare a unique enough virtual background.
