Mahindra TUV300 Plus launched in India at Rs. 9.47 lakh
Mahindra and Mahindra has unveiled TUV300 Plus - the elongated, nine-seater version of the company's sub-4m TUV300 SUV. Available in three trims - P4, P6, and P8 - the new TUV300 Plus starts at a price of Rs. 9.47 lakh (ex-showroom). Along with minor exterior changes, the car gets upgraded interiors to mark its presence in the sub-Rs. 10 lakh market. Here's more.
Mahindra TUV300 Plus is 405mm longer than sub-compact TUV300
On the outside, the new TUV300 Plus looks quite similar to the standard TUV300. However, as visual updates, the car gets a redesigned front bumper, new wraparound taillights, and 16-inch wheels. In terms of dimensions, the SUV measures 4.40m in length, around 0.40m longer than the standard TUV300. Notably, the width, height, and wheelbase remain unchanged at 1.83m, 1.81m, and 2.68m respectively.
Faux leather seats, a new 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system
The 9-seater TUV300 Plus gets faux leather seats, steering-mounted audio and phone controls, adjustable driving seat, rear defogger with wash-and-wipe functionality, front row armrests among other add-ons. The car also gets a new 7-inch Touchscreen Infotainment System with GPS navigation and 4 speakers + 2 tweeters, ECO mode, Bluesense App, Intellipark Reverse Assist, Driver Information System, Dual-airbags, and ABS with Electronic Brake-force Distribution.
Under the hood
The TUV300 Plus gets an upgraded 2.2-litre mHAWK diesel engine as against the 1.5-litre engine on the standard TUV300. The mHAWK engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and generates a maximum power of 120bhp and 280Nm of peak torque. The car is available in five colors options- Majestic Silver, Glacier White, Bold Black, Dynamo Red and Molten Orange.
