LG W-series smartphones to launch in India on June 26
After a bunch of leaks and teasers, LG has finally announced the launch date of its upcoming W series smartphones in India. The South Korean tech giant has scheduled the launch event for June 26 at New Delhi. Presumably dubbed as LG W10, W20, and W30, the smartphones will take on the likes of Samsung's Galaxy M10, M20, and M30 smartphones. Here's more.
The phones will be offering a customizable notched display
The upcoming smartphones will feature a notched display which can be customized to U or V-shaped notch and can even be hidden according to the user preference, thanks to a new software feature. Further, on the back, the trio of smartphones will house a vertically stacked dual/triple rear-camera array, LED flash, and a fingerprint sensor.
For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers
The LG W10, W20, and W30 smartphones are likely to house dual/triple rear camera setup along with a single front-facing camera. Further, the camera is teased to offer a bunch of photography features such as wide angle shot, low light, bokeh effect, and portrait mode. However, the specifications of the camera sensors are still unclear at the moment.
Under the hood
According to a recent leak, the LG W10 would be offering entry level internals including 3GB of RAM, 32GB of expandable storage, 3.5mm audio jack, and will run Android Pie OS. However, details regarding the processor, memory, and storage of other models remain unknown as of now. Moreover, the phones are expected to offer a "strong battery" with upto 5,000mAh capacity.
Finally, what about pricing?
As per the previous teaser, the W series smartphones are expected to arrive at a "Pocket worthy" price in India. Our guess is they will come at a price range of around Rs. 10,000-15,000 in the country. Meanwhile, the smartphones will be Amazon Exclusive and will go up against other budget-range smartphones offered by Samsung, Realme, and Xiaomi.
