LG's 2018 Signature Edition smartphone costs more than iPhone X
As the latest addition to its premium Signature series, LG has launched the 2018 LG Signature Edition smartphone. Priced at a whopping 1,999,800 Korean won (approx. Rs. 1,22,820), the key highlights of the phone are its Zirconium Ceramic back panel, QHD+ OLED display, dual rear-camera and top-end internals. Up front, the phone gets thick top and bottom bezels, giving the phone a dated look. However, the rear is quite premium and eye-catchy, thanks to the scratch-resistant Zirconium ceramic panel (black or white variants). The LG Signature Edition features a 6-inch QHD+ (2880x1440 pixels) OLED display with a pixel density of 538ppi, 18:9 aspect ratio, HDR10 support and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers
The smartphone sports a dual rear-camera setup comprising a 16MP primary sensor with f/1.6 aperture and 71-degree wide-angle lens, and a 16MP secondary sensor with f/1.9 aperture, and 107-degree super-wide-angle lens. Up front, the phone gets an 8MP camera with f/1.9 aperture.
Under the hood
The LG Signature Edition 2018 is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, coupled with Adreno 630 GPU, 6GB of RAM and 256GB of inbuilt storage which is expandable up to 2TB via a microSD card. The phone runs Android Oreo with LG UX skin on top and packs a 3,300mAh battery with support for Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 as well as wireless charging.
The LG Signature Edition 2018 is IP68 rated
The phone is IP68 rated, meaning it can even survive rains. In term of connectivity, it gets 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/c, Bluetooth 5 LE, GPS, NFC, USB Type-C and 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone also supports Hi-Fi Quad DAC and DTS: X 3D Surround Sound, and comes bundled with free Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H9i headphones.
