Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Extreme launched, priced at Rs. 2 lakh
Expanding its portfolio of ThinkPad laptops in India, Lenovo has launched the ThinkPad X1 Extreme in India. The key highlights of this premium gaming laptop are its UHD touchscreen display, upto Intel Core i9 processor, upto 1TB SSD, upto 64GB RAM and NVIDIA GeForce GTX1050Ti 4GB graphics card. Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Extreme: At a glance
Much like the X1 Carbon, the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Extreme gets a carbon fiber outer structure and an aluminum alloy bottom cover. Lenovo claims the laptop is tested against 12 military-grade requirements and is rated to function in extreme conditions. The X1 Extreme comes in two options - 15.6-inch UHD touchscreen display with HDR and Dolby Vision and a 15.6-inch FHD antiglare non-touch display.
Under the hood
The X1 Extreme comes with upto Intel Core i9 processor, paired with upto 64GB of RAM, and upto 1TB of SSD. For graphics performance, the laptop comes with Intel UHD Graphics 630 and NVIDIA GeForce GTX1050Ti 4GB GDDR5 graphics card. Further, the X1 Extreme comes with an 80WHr battery that is touted to offer upto 15 hours of usage on a single charge.
Connectivity options and security features
The laptop supports two USB 3.1 ports, two Type-C ports, an HDMI port, SD card reader, headphone jack, Bluetooth 5.0 and dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11a.c with 2x2 MIMO antennae. It also comes with several security features including IR camera for Windows Hello facial unlock, fingerprint sensor, and ThinkShutter camera cover for privacy. Moreover, there's a spill-resistant, backlit keyboard, multi-touch glass touchpad, and Dolby Audio.
ThinkPad X1 Extreme is available via Lenovo's online store
The base-end model with Core i5 chipset, 16GB RAM and 512 SSD costs Rs. 1,97,471. The Core i7 variant with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD is listed at Rs. 2,04,479 whereas the 1TB SSD model costs Rs. 3,02,015. All these variants, available via Lenovo's official website, will be shipped starting January 10. Notably, the top-end Core i9 model has not been introduced in India.
