Samsung Galaxy Ring to be released in eight models
Samsung is set to introduce its latest fitness wearable, the Galaxy Ring, globally. According to a report by Netherlands-based tech news outlet, Galaxy Club, the device will be released in eight distinct models. Each model will have unique numbers starting from SM-Q500. The model numbers of the Galaxy Ring are believed to correspond with US ring sizes, starting from size 5 and going up to size 13 (22.2mm diameter).
Samsung Galaxy Ring to offer three distinct finishes
In addition to size variations, Samsung plans to offer the Galaxy Ring in three distinct finishes for customization. Some reports emphasize that the device will boast an impressive battery life, capable of lasting up to nine days on a single charge. This extended battery life could position the Galaxy Ring as a preferred choice for users seeking longer intervals between charges and those who don't prefer wearing a smartwatch.
Samsung Galaxy Ring to be launched at Galaxy Unpacked event
Samsung's production strategy includes manufacturing over 400,000 units of the Galaxy Ring, with mass production set to commence next month. The device was previewed at Samsung's Galaxy Unpacked event in January and briefly showcased at the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2024). The official launch is expected at Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event in July, where it may share the spotlight with other rumored devices such as the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6.
