Kodak launches new affordable 4K LED TVs with Dolby Vision
Taking on the likes of Xiaomi, Motorola, Nokia and Vu, Kodak has launched a new CA series of 4K LED TVs in India. The range is offered in 43-inch, 50-inch, 55-inch, and 65-inch sizes, with all models featuring Dolby Vision, Dolby Digital Plus, and Android TV 9 support. As far as the pricing is concerned, the Kodak CA series starts at Rs. 23,999.
The TVs have been made in India
These latest Kodak televisions have been made in India by brand licensee Super Plastronics Private Ltd. (SPPL). Interestingly, the Noida-based manufacturer also sells TVs under the Thomson brand.
Kodak CA series: Design and display
The Kodak CA range of televisions comes with slim black bezels on three sides and a slightly prominent one at the bottom. All models sport a 4K LED panel with Dolby Vision support, up to 550 nits of brightness, 178-degree viewing angle, and 60Hz refresh rate. The TVs pack dual speakers to offer 30W of sound output with Dolby Digital Plus and DTS TruSurround.
Under the hood
These Kodak 4K TVs are powered by a quad-core processor, combined with a Mali-450 GPU, 1.75GB of RAM, and 8GB of internal storage. Under the hood, they run on Android TV 9 operating system, which provides access to Google Play Store, Google Assistant, and Google Chromecast. Further, the TVs also support all the latest connectivity options including Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
Pricing and availability
The 43-inch Kodak CA series TV costs Rs. 23,999, the 50-inch model costs Rs. 27,999, the 55-inch variant is priced at Rs. 30,999, and the 65-inch model retails at Rs. 49,999. As for availability, the televisions are listed as 'coming soon' on Flipkart.
