JLab launches third generation of its Epic Sport wireless headphones
Audio devices company JLab has launched its third-generation of Epic Sport earbuds that are wireless headphones designed to be used while running or exercising. They have succeeded JLab's Epic 2 Wireless Sport earbuds, which were popularly considered as the best headphones for running. The wireless headphone is available for a price of $99. Here is more on it.
The earbuds come in three different sound profiles
The audio device features a pair of 8 mm drivers, resulting in an excellent sound quality that maintains a balance between sound and strong bass. It comes in three different sound profiles of Signature, Balanced, and Bass Boost, available directly from its in-line controls. It has been reported that the Signature, which amplifies vocals and bass, has the best sound profile of the three.
The device comes with customizable earbuds for a snug fit
The device has intuitive in-line controls and customizable earbuds, which come with the options of six different tips and three fins for a personalized, snug fit. It is not easy to get the device to fall out of the ears, which means users can run or jump all they want without worrying about losing the headphones.
Here is how the headphones are different from its predecessor
The JLab Epic Sport has changed in three areas from its predecessor: customizable sound profiles, a new charger, and improved waterproofing. The new magnetic charger is a standard USB-A instead of the earlier USB-C, and improved waterproofing allows even the sweatiest of runners to keep connected with the device. Other than these, it has strong noise cancellation capabilities.
Nonetheless, some scope of improvement remains
However, the JLab Epic Sport does fall behind in a couple of minor areas. It features Bluetooth 4.2 instead of the updated Bluetooth 5. Further, its microphone for making calls could have been of a better quality.
