Now, JioPhone users can use JioRail to book train tickets
Just a few weeks after launching JioBrowser, Reliance Jio has launched a dedicated rail reservation app for JioPhone users. The app, called JioRail, offers a seamless platform to book tickets via IRCTC and provides a range of functions for staying updated on train information. It can be downloaded right away on the original JioPhone and JioPhone 2. Here's all about it.
What you get with JioRail?
Today, millions of people in rural India pay agents and brokers to get their tickets booked. Reliance Jio wants to change this system by offering an easy-to-use option to book or cancel tickets through JioRail. The app connects the user to IRCTC's reservation portal and even enables booking of tatkal tickets in case of emergencies.
Easy payment options for booking
For using the app, you'll have to sign-in with your IRCTC account or create a new one. After this, you can go ahead with train selection and the date of your choice and complete the booking by paying via debit cards, credit cards or e-wallets.
Plus, you get additional information
Along with booking and cancellation, JioRail could also keep you updated about additional train-related information. For instance, you could check PNR status for existing tickets right from within the app or use options to check train timings, routes, and seat availability. Reliance also claims JioRail's future update will also come with features for ordering food, locating train, or getting alerts on PNR status change.
This marks another major app for JioPhones
RailJio marks another addition into the suite of apps available on the original JioPhone and JioPhone 2. To recall, just a few months back, the feature phone duo got major upgrades with the introduction of dedicated WhatsApp and YouTube apps. Now, you can download all these apps, including RailJio, from the JioStore marketplace on the devices.
