Jeff Bezos adds $80M Gulfstream G700 to his jet collection
Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon and Blue Origin, has reportedly added a new Gulfstream G700 to his private jet collection. The information was revealed by JetSpy and Jack Sweeney, a college student known for tracking the aircraft of high-profile individuals like Elon Musk and Taylor Swift. The G700 is the latest model on the market and is estimated to be worth around $80 million (roughly ₹670 crore).
Bezos's aircraft collection now worth over $200 million
The addition of the G700 marks the fourth jet in Bezos's collection, which also includes two Gulfstream G650s and a smaller Pilatus PC-24. With this latest acquisition, the total value of his aircraft collection is estimated to exceed $200 million. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) lists TVPX Aircraft Solutions as the owner of both the PC-24 and the newly acquired G700.
G700's certification and first deliveries
The G700 received its FAA certification in March, after a nine-month wait. The first two jets of this model were delivered to Qatar Airways's private jet division. Bezos is believed to have taken delivery of his G700, registered as N11AF, on July 10. Musk has also reportedly placed an order for one such aircraft.
Bezos's G700 made several journeys under FAA's PIA program
Following its delivery, the G700 made several trips using the FAA's Privacy ICAO Aircraft Address (PIA) program. This initiative allows private jet owners to fly under a temporary aircraft registration for privacy reasons. The remarkable aircraft boasts a staggering maximum range of around 12,300 kilometers at a speed of Mach 0.90. This translates to non-stop flights between continents. It is also decked up with finest luxury amenities, dedicated workspaces for productivity, and relaxing lounge areas for ultimate comfort.
