    What's the story

Several rumors have been doing the rounds about the much anticipated launch of the OnePlus 5 smartphone.

Some "leaked" images have been found online, leading to immense speculation about the specifications of the phone. One leaked image even makes it seem like OnePlus may be taking the iPhone way.

However, it is yet unclear what the final design of the phone would be.

    Details

    What do the images suggest?

The first image shows that the OnePlus 5 may do away with the headphones support, opting for an iPhone-like USB C port or Bluetooth instead.

The second image, which features the phone's back panel suggests that OnePlus may be considering a dual back camera design.

Other possibilities include it having a 5.5 inch full 1080p display with a 3600 mAh battery.

    Information

    When is the launch?

Speaking to The Verge, the company confirmed that the device would be out "this summer." Analysts expect a release date sometime in mid-June or July.

Apple might postpone the launch of iPhone 8

As an aside, reports speculate that due to issues with suppliers, Apple might postpone the launch of iPhone 8, which was scheduled later this year, to 2018.

This comes amid announcement that sales of its iPhones had fallen, from 51.19mn in the first quarter of 2016, to 50.76mn in the same period of 2017.

2017 marks the 10th anniversary of iPhones.
