Ahead of launch, iQOO Neo5's design officially revealed
iQOO is all set to introduce a Neo5 smartphone in China on March 16. In the run-up to the launch event, the company has shared a couple of promotional videos on Weibo, revealing the front and rear design of the handset. It will come with a flat screen, punch-hole design, and a rectangular-shaped triple rear camera module. Here's our roundup.
The handset will boast of a 120Hz OLED screen
iQOO Neo5 will feature a center-aligned punch-hole design with slim bezels and an in-display fingerprint sensor. The handset will bear a 6.61-inch Full-HD+ (1080x2408 pixels) OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, a 1,000Hz touch sampling rate, and 1,300-nits of brightness. It will also offer an independent display chip that can upgrade SDR content to HDR level.
It will pack a 48MP main camera
The iQOO Neo5 will sport a triple rear camera unit comprising a 48MP primary sensor, a 13MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro shooter. On the front, it may offer a 16MP selfie snapper.
It will be fueled by a Snapdragon 870 processor
The iQOO Neo5 will be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 870 processor, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. It will run on Android 11-based Origin OS and pack a 4,400mAh battery with 66W fast-charging support. For connectivity, the device should offer support for Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, 5G, a headphone jack, and a Type-C port.
iQOO Neo5: Pricing and availability
The official pricing and availability details of the iQOO Neo5 will be announced at the March 16 launch event. However, considering the expected specifications, the handset is likely to cost around CNY 2,999 (roughly Rs. 33,500).
