iQOO 7 and Neo5 bag BIS certification, India launch imminent
iQOO 7 and Neo5 smartphones, which have already made their debut in China, are expected to arrive in India soon. The handsets, with model number I2009 and I2011, respectively, have been spotted (via MySmartPrice) on the BIS certification site, hinting at their imminent launch. As for the key highlights, they offer a 120Hz screen, a triple rear camera setup, and a top-tier Snapdragon processor.
They flaunt an AMOLED screen
The iQOO 7 and iQOO Neo5 feature a punch-hole cut-out, a noticeable bottom bezel, and an in-display fingerprint reader. On the rear, they pack a triple camera module. The handsets bear a 6.62-inch Full-HD+ (1080x2400 pixels) AMOLED screen with an aspect ratio of 20:9, a 120Hz refresh rate, and HDR10+ support. They are offered in three color options.
There is a 48MP main camera
The iQOO 7 sports a triple rear camera arrangement, including a 48MP (f/1.8) primary sensor, a 13MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide lens, and a 13MP (f/2.5) portrait camera. The iQOO Neo5 also has a similar setup, but with a 2MP (f/2.4) depth snapper replacing the portrait camera. Up front, the duo has a 16MP (f/2.0) selfie shooter.
Under the hood, the smartphones run on Android 11
The iQOO 7 and iQOO Neo5 draw power from a Snapdragon 888 and Snapdragon 870 chipset, respectively, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. The former packs a 4,000mAh battery with 120W fast-charging support, while the latter has a 4,400mAh battery with 66W fast-charging support. Under the hood, the duo runs on Android 11-based OriginOS for iQOO.
iQOO 7 and iQOO Neo5: Pricing and availability
In China, the iQOO 7 and Neo5 start at CNY 3,798 (roughly Rs. 42,400) and CNY 2,499 (approximately Rs. 28,000), respectively. The Indian pricing and availability details will be announced at the time of launch, which is expected to happen soon.
