Apple's brand new iPhone to cost Rs. 28,000: Details here
Apple is working to expand its smartphone line-up with a low-cost iPhone SE2 set to launch sometime early next year. The new model is expected to retain the design of the iPhone 8 but pack some of the newer internals seen in the flagship iPhone 11 series. And now, reputed analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has revealed the price of this affordable iPhone. Here's more.
iPhone SE2 to cost $399, will launch in Q1 2020
In a new investor note, Kuo has claimed that the iPhone SE2 will be priced at $399 (approximately Rs. 28,200) and it will release sometime in the first quarter of 2020. Notably, this is the same price at which the original iPhone SE was launched.
Kuo has also revealed the key specs of iPhone SE2
Kuo has reiterated that the iPhone SE2 will be powered by the flagship A13 Bionic chip which powers the latest iPhone 11 models. It will also come with 3GB LPDDR4X RAM along with 64GB or 128GB of non-expandable built-in storage. Further, the handset will have a 4.7-inch LCD display, a Touch ID home button, but won't support 3D Touch.
What else do we know about iPhone SE2?
According to Kuo, the iPhone SE2 will arrive in Space Grey, Silver, and Red color options. These colors are similar to what we've seen on the iPhone 8 models. Moreover, it should run the latest version of iOS 13 when it launches next year.
iPhone SE2 to replace iPhone 8 series?
Further, Kuo has claimed that the iPhone SE2 will be positioned as an upgrade to the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s models. This has given way to speculations that with the arrival of iPhone SE2, Apple would stop selling the iPhone 8 to promote the new model. Meanwhile, the presence of the A13 chipset can be a game-changer.
