iOS 13 to release tonight: Here's how to install it
Apple will globally release iOS 13 today for all the eligible iPhones and iPod touch models. The tech giant hasn't announced any specific roll-out time but going by previous updates, the latest version should become available in India at around 10:30 pm. Which iPhones and iPod touch models will get iOS 13?
iOS 13, which comes pre-loaded on the iPhone 11-series, will be available for all iPhone models starting from the iPhone 6s and the seventh-generation iPod touch. The list of eligible iPhones includes iPhone Xs, iPhone Xs Max, iPhone Xr, iPhone X, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, and iPhone SE.
How to install iOS 13 on iPhone, iPod touch directly?
Go to Settings > General > Software Update and tap on Download and Install to begin the download process. However, you will only see this option once the update becomes available for your device. Notably, you will need a Wi-Fi connection to download the firmware. Once downloaded, tap Install and then agree to Apple's terms and conditions to initiate the installation process.
How to install iOS 13 via iTunes?
You can also upgrade your compatible iPhone or iPod touch to iOS 13 via iTunes. Simply connect your device to iTunes on your Mac or PC and click on your device's icon in the top-left side of the app window and then on Summary tab. Now, click on the Check for update button to download and install iOS 13 on your device.
