Internet or the lack of it, makes a day insightful
We might not realize it but come to think of it, the Internet and our daily life go hand-in-hand. The basic resources of modern-day survival are now "Roti, Kapda aur Makaan" and Internet. So, what happens if we wake up one day and there's no Internet? How would that actually affect our daily routine, our normal way of life? Let's see.
It starts from the morning itself
Right from the moment when we wake up, we would realize that there's something off if there's no Internet. Most of us have the habit of checking emails or news on our phones when we wake up. However, to gain access to those we need the Internet, which, now, we don't have. So, let's murmur to ourselves, "I will survive this" and get ready.
Little things of inconvenience
Mostly we use shared or a private cab to reach our respective workplaces; however, to get their apps working we need the Internet. Even if we are not using the apps, we rely on the Internet to find out the route or direction to our destinations. Ola Pool and Uber Share have turned us soft. So, ask around and find a way.
Little less connected with the world
As the FB messenger or other messaging apps are not functional sans the Internet, let's get back to the good old text message feature that comes along with the phone. However, unless an SMS pack from a physical store is bought, for every message sent our balance will get deducted.
Getting through the day
Once in office, fact checking and communication become a tiresome affair. After making several queries and phone calls, things slowly fall in place. If we miss an important message, as it was sent via email, chances are, we might curse a little (a lot). However, we would get to wish that colleague of ours, "Happy Birthday," in person and not via social media.
Social media plays an important part
Speaking of social media, we would miss out on updates from our dear and not so dear ones and also, the latest developments, trends, and fads. We can watch the TV, but let's get real, we can't skip the ads. We will have to watch the entire thing and choosing the content, like in Netflix or Hotstar, is out of the question. Damn you remote control!
It's how you see it
Our regular routine would be in a little bit of disarray. We would be less active on social media, things would be slower than usual and we'll have some hiccups here and there. However, not everything is gloomy. We would get little bit more time for ourselves, family and our hobbies. How we see it, changes the day.
