Stay undercover on Instagram: How to disable your Activity Status
Instagram, a widely used social media platform, offers an 'Activity Status' feature. When enabled, it reveals your online status and last active time to your followers and the people you interact with. However, for those who prioritize privacy, Instagram allows the option to disable this feature. Deactivating the 'Activity Status' feature is a straightforward process that can be done at any time. Here's how to proceed.
Checking your activity status
To verify your current 'Activity Status' settings on Instagram, a three-step process is needed. Users must first navigate to their Profile tab and select the 'More' button. Following this, they should scroll to the section titled 'How others can interact with you' and choose 'Messages and story replies.' Lastly, by selecting 'Show Activity Status,' users can determine if this feature is enabled for their account. If the toggle appears blue, the feature is enabled.
Turn off the feature to go undercover
The steps to disable the 'Activity Status' feature are identical to those of checking your current settings. After selecting 'Show Activity Status,' you need to tap the toggle. If it appears gray, the feature is turned off. Notably, you won't be able to see activity status of others when your 'Show Activity Status' is disabled.
