Scale
Problem affecting users across the globe
As users continue to express their disappointment over the issue, website tracking portals like Downdetector have reported the problem seems to be affecting users across the globe.
Apart from India, outages have been reported from New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and London, UK.
The case comes just as Facebook, Instagram's parent, continues to deal with the aftermath of a security breach.
Difficult times
Just last week, Instagram's founders resigned
Though the latest glitch appears more like a technical fault, it is coming at a difficult time for Instagram.
Last week, both of company's founders, Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger, resigned from the company saying they want to 'explore their creativity again'.
Following this, the Facebook hack was reported with the fact that Instagram might have also been affected by it.
