Infinix HOT 20 5G, 20 Play smartphones launched: Check specifications
Infinix has launched two budget smartphones, dubbed HOT 20 Play and HOT 20 5G, in India. The former is priced at Rs. 8,999 and will go on sale from December 6 via Flipkart while the latter bears a price tag of Rs. 11,999. Both the handsets get a MediaTek chipset, 3GB of virtual RAM, and are offered in a single 4GB/64GB configuration.
Why does this story matter?
Hong Kong-based Infinix aims to strengthen its presence in the budget smartphone segment in India. The latest handsets are affordably priced and come with decent features, including high refresh rate screens, virtual RAM, and long battery life. The HOT 20 Play gets DTS Audio support while the HOT 20 5G model boasts dual stereo speakers.
Infinix HOT 20 Play sports a 90Hz LCD display
Infinix HOT 20 Play features a punch-hole cutout and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner while the HOT 20 5G has a waterdrop notch display and a side-mounted fingerprint reader. The Play model gets a 6.82-inch HD+ (720x1640 pixels) LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The 5G model sports a 6.6-inch Full-HD+(1080x2408 pixels) IPS LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
Both handsets are equipped with an 8MP selfie shooter
Infinix HOT 20 Play has a 13MP dual rear camera module along with a quad-LED flash. The HOT 20 5G flaunts a 50MP (f/1.6) primary snapper, an unspecified depth sensor, and a dual-LED flash. Up front, both handsets get an 8MP shooter for selfies.
The handsets run on Android 12
Infinix HOT 20 Play is fueled by a MediaTek Helio G37 chipset while Infinix HOT 20 5G gets a Dimensity 810 processor. The former houses a 6,000mAh battery whereas the latter packs a 5,000mAh battery, both with 18W charging support. The devices boot Android 12 and offer 4GB RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. Connectivity options include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Infinix HOT 20 Play is priced at Rs. 8,999 and will go on sale via Flipkart from December 6. It is offered in Luna Blue, Racing Black, Fantasy Purple, and Aurora Green colors. Infinix HOT 20 5G bears a price tag of Rs. 11,999 and is available in Blaster Green, Space Blue, and Racing Black shades. Its availability details are yet to be revealed.
