2018 Hyundai Verna Anniversary Edition launched at Rs. 11.69 lakh
To commemorate the company's 20th year in the Indian market, Hyundai has introduced Hyundai Verna Anniversary Edition. This limited-run Verna starts at Rs. 11.69 lakh and only 1,000 units will be up for sale across India. The Verna Anniversary Edition is based on the top-spec SX(O) trim and comes with some additional features, and two new color finishes. Here's our roundup.
Hyundai Verna Anniversary Edition: At a glance
This limited edition Verna gets additional body kit including front and rear skid plates, a shark-fin antenna, and rear spoiler. The car is offered in new Marina Blue and Polar White colors. Notably, the ORVMs and antenna are finished in black on the Blue option while on the White option, they match the body color. Moreover, the car also gets Anniversary Edition badge.
Inside the cabin
Inside the cabin, the anniversary edition Verna gets all-black interiors, as against the dual-tone black and beige combination on the standard variant. There are blue color accents on the air-conditioner vents to match the blue stitching used in the cabin. Further, this edition gets a wireless charging dock and retains the electronic sunroof and ventilated seats seen on the top variant of Hyundai Verna.
Under the hood
The Verna Anniversary Edition is available in both petrol and diesel engines. The petrol variant gets a 1.6-liter motor that generates 121bhp and 151Nm of peak torque. It is available in both 6-speed manual and automatic transmission options. The diesel model, available with manual transmission, is powered by a 1.6-liter engine that makes 126bhp and 260Nm of peak torque.
Pricing of petrol and diesel variants
The Verna Anniversary Edition (Petrol variant) with the manual and automatic transmission is priced at Rs. 11.69 lakh and Rs. 12.83 lakh, respectively. The diesel variant is offered only with the manual gearbox and it is priced at Rs. 13.03 lakh (all prices ex-showroom, Delhi).
