Huawei to launch its first pop-up camera smartphone in India
Huawei is working to launch its first pop-up camera smartphone in India by July-end, as it looks to take on rivals like OPPO K3, Redmi K20, and Realme X. According to GSMArena, the handset is going to be either the Huawei P Smart Z or the Y9 Prime (2019). However, an Amazon teaser has confirmed that the latter is arriving in India soon.
It will be launched under Rs. 20,000
The Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 is already available in some international markets and going by GSMArena's report, it will be launched in India under Rs. 20,000. This competitive pricing will allow Huawei to take on rivals like Realme X, OPPO K3, and others that fall in the sub-Rs. 20,000 segment. For reference's sake, the Y9 Prime 2019 costs KSH 23,499 (Rs. 15,700) in Kenya.

The Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 features the in-trend notch-less hole-less all-screen design that has been achieved by housing the selfie camera in a pop-up module. Lastly, the handset offers all the standard sensors and connectivity options including Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB Type-C port, and a headphone jack.
