Huawei Y9 gets four cameras, Android Oreo; Launched in Thailand
Huawei has launched its Y9 smartphone in Thailand. This new smartphone features four cameras while retaining some internals from the previously launched Mate 10 Lite and Honor 9i. Reports suggest that the Huawei Y9 will be priced at EUR 200 (around Rs. 16,000) while it is still uncertain if the smartphone will enter other markets or not. Here's our roundup on the Huawei Y9.

The Huawei Y9 (2018) sports 5.93-inch FullView display with full-HD+ (1080x2160 pixels) resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio while featuring a dual camera set-up on the front and rear. With rounded curves and a 7.9mm of thickness, the Huawei Y9 weighs 170 grams and runs Android Oreo with EMUI 8.0 skin on top. The Y9 smartphone comes in three colors - Black, Blue, and Gold.

The dual-SIM Huawei Y9 sports a dual-lens rear camera setup which includes a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor along with an LED flash. One the front, we get a similar dual-camera setup as with a 16-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor.
Under the hood
The Huawei Y9 is powered by an octa-core Kirin 659 SoC, clocked at 2.3GHz coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32 inbuilt storage that is expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card. This chipset was also previously seen on Huawei's other smartphones such as the Huawei Mate 10 Lite and Honor 9 Lite. Under the hood, the Y9 packs a 4,000mAh battery.
