In a bid to take on new offerings from Samsung, Xiaomi, and Realme, Chinese tech giant Huawei has slashed the prices of its Huawei Y9 (2019) in India. The mid-range smartphone, which was launched in the country in January, has received a price cut of Rs. 3,000. Here's more on the new pricing.

To recall, Huawei Y9 (2019) was launched in India at Rs. 15,990 for the solo 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant. However, with the price cut, the phone is now available at Rs. 12,990.

Up front, the Huawei Y9 (2019) looks a bit like the Google Pixel 3 XL with a deep display notch and a thick bottom bezel. Notably, screen cut-out houses a dual camera setup. On the back, there is a vertically-stacked dual rear camera setup, a fingerprint sensor, and gradient design. Further, the phone features a 6.5-inch (2340x1080 pixels) display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio.

In the camera department, the Y9 (2019) offers a dual-lens rear camera setup comprising a 13MP main sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, paired with a 2MP (f/2.4) depth sensor, LED flash, HDR, and PDAF. Up front, there's another dual camera setup comprising a 16MP (f/2.0) main sensor and a 2MP (f/2.4) depth sensor. Notably, both cameras support full-HD resolution videos and AI-based photography features.

The Huawei Y9 (2019) is powered by the Kirin 710 processor, paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Under the hood, it packs a 4,000mAh battery and runs Android Oreo-based EMUI 8.2. Lastly, the phone comes with performance-boosting GPU Turbo feature and offers support for all the latest connectivity options including dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, micro-USB and others.
