Huawei Watch GT 2 launching in India on December 5
As a follow-up to its popular Watch GT, Huawei is set to launch the Watch GT 2 in India on December 5. The latest version has been listed on the company's website with a "Notify Me" button for interested buyers. To recall, the wearable comes in 46mm and 42mm sizes and it went official in Europe in September. Here's our roundup.
Huawei Watch GT 2: Design and display
The Huawei Watch GT 2 features a classic watch design with a 3D curved glass screen, a stainless steel case, a fluoroelastomer strap, and is waterproof (upto 50-meters.) The 46mm model comes with a 1.39-inch OLED display while the 42mm model has a smaller 1.2-inch screen. The wearable is compatible with both iOS and Android but you can't customize watch faces on the former.
The watch can track sleep and stress
As for features, the Watch GT 2 can monitor sleep as well as measure stress with its TrueRelax feature. It also supports GPS, real-time heart-rate monitoring, and can track activities like swimming and workouts. It can also show smartphone notifications, weather updates, alarm, among others.
Under the hood
On a single charge, the smartwatch offers a battery life of upto 30 hours with GPS turned on. However, with regular use, you can get upto 2 weeks of use time on the larger 46mm model, and 7 days on the 42mm model. You can also use the built-in mic and speaker to take calls. It is powered by the Kirin A1 chipset.
Finally, what is the pricing?
The Huawei Watch GT 2 costs EUR 249 (Rs. 19,500) for the 46mm model and EUR 229 (Rs. 17,900) for the 42mm variant. In India, it is expected to be priced between Rs. 15,000-20,000, and will go on sale via Amazon and Flipkart.
