Huawei's latest TV has specifications unheard of in a television
A 120Hz OLED screen, a built-in AI chip, a 24MP pop-up camera, 6GB RAM, and 128GB of built-in storage- they might sound like the specifications of a flagship smartphone but they are not. In fact, these are just some of the highlights of Smart Screen X65 TV, Huawei's maiden OLED smart television that aims to challenge Sony and LG in this premium product category.
Bezel-less design, 65-inch OLED screen
The Huawei Smart Screen X65 sports a near bezel-less design, packing a massive 65-inch 4K HDR10-certified OLED panel that can go as bright as 1,000 nits. The display offers a high refresh rate of 120Hz and even supports MEMC technology for content smoothing. It also boasts of TUV Rheinland certification for eye health and DC dimming for automatic brightness control based on ambient light.
It packs a massive 75W sound system
Inside its 2.5cm thick aluminum body, the Huawei Smart Screen X65 packs a 75W sound system. An arrangement of 14-speakers, comprising six full-range drivers, six tweeters for the treble, and two woofers for the bass, is housed under the display to offer front-firing immersive audio.
Under the hood
The Huawei TV is backed by an in-house quad-core Honghu 898 processor, combined with a Mali-G51MP4 GPU, 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It runs on Huawei's own Hongmeng OS. Not to forget, there is also a 24MP ultra-wide pop-up camera for video calling. As for connectivity, the TV supports dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0 LE, and all the other standard I/O ports.
Pricing and availability
The Huawei Smart Screen X65 is priced at 24,999 yuan (Rs. 2,69,000) and it comes in a single Starry Gray color option. It is currently exclusive to China, but we expect the company to launch its rebranded version in the global markets soon.
