    What's the story

Huawei, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer, is likely to launch a new Honor smartphone model in India.

Reportedly the phone will be the next in the company's Maimang 6 lineup, which was recently launched in China.

According to the recent leaks, this upcoming Huawei handset will host not one or two but four cameras, which makes it quite unique.

    Here's more about it.

    Camera

    What is it all about?

Reportedly, the new Honor smartphone will bring dual camera setup, both on the front and the back side of the device.

Recently Honor India hosted a contest on social media titled 'See Yourself With 2 Eyes,' which also points towards the new phone having a dual camera set up at the front. Other specifications of the upcoming phone have not been disclosed yet.

    Maimang 6

What do we know so far?

Rumors suggest this new phone will be similar to the newly launched Maimang 6. All the smartphones in the Honor lineup use a Monochrome + RGB sensor.

This helps in improving low-light camera capabilities of a phone. Maimang 6 hosts dual camera setup (13MP + 2MP) in the front and a 16MP + 2MP dual camera set up at the back of the phone.

    Diwali

Expect the same price as Maimang 6

Maimang 6 also features a 5.9-inch edge-to-edge display with full HD resolution. The phone packs in a 4GB RAM along with 64GB of built-in storage, expandable via microSD card.

Maimang 6 carries a price tag of CNY 2,399 in China, approximately Rs. 23,600 in India. The upcoming handset, which Huawei plans to launch during Diwali, will probably be a mid-range Android smartphone.

    Huawei bets on 5G

Meanwhile, Huawei and Airtel have partnered up for the latter's Massive MIMO technology development in Bengaluru.

The firm in its statement said, "Massive MIMO is the best technology to boost spectrum efficiency and is one of the key solutions for Huawei's 4.5G/5G evolution." In India Mobile Congress 2017, Huawei had said that it intends to spend $600 million on 5G technology by 2018.
