Huawei Pura 70 Ultra named best camera smartphone by DXOMARK
Huawei's latest flagship smartphone, the Pura 70 Ultra, has been crowned the top mobile camera by DXOMARK. The handset achieved an impressive score of 163 for its exceptional performance in exposure, color, and autofocus. Its adaptability across various shooting conditions including indoor, outdoor, and different lighting scenarios was also highlighted. The Pura 70 Ultra boasts a 50MP (f/1.6-4.0) 1.0-inch main sensor with sensor-shift stabilization, a 40MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide shooter, and a 50MP (f/2.1, OIS) macro telephoto sensor.
Superior photo zooming and portrait photography
As per DXOMARK, the Pura 70 Ultra sets a new standard in photo zooming, capturing sharp details at multiple zoom levels. The handset supports up to 3.5x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom. In portrait photography, the smartphone excels with its rapid and accurate autofocus paired with a variable aperture. This combination results in portraits with natural background blur and precise subject isolation. Furthermore, the device enhances close-up and macro photography by producing sharp images with excellent detail.
Pura 70 Ultra's video recording capabilities fall short
Despite its exceptional performance in still photography, the Pura 70 Ultra has some shortcomings in video recording as pointed out by DXOMARK. Issues such as instability and loss of detail were observed, particularly in low-light conditions. These limitations contrast with the smartphone's otherwise stellar photographic capabilities, indicating room for improvement in future iterations of the device. The handset is capable of shooting 4K videos.
