Huawei P50's renders reveal a flat display, massive rear camera
Huawei is expected to announce its flagship P50 and P50 Pro smartphones on April 17. Now, just a day after giving us our first look at the Pro model, tipster @OnLeaks has shared renders of the vanilla P50 handset. As per the images, the P50 will have a flat display with a punch-hole design and a massive, oval-shaped rear camera bump.
The handset will sport an in-display fingerprint sensor
According to the renders, the Huawei P50 will feature a metal-glass body with a center-aligned punch-hole cut-out, a slim bottom bezel, and a flat screen with an integrated fingerprint reader. The handset will bear a 6.3-inch Full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) OLED screen, possibly with a 90Hz or higher refresh rate. It will also house dual speakers.
It may debut the world's first 1-inch Sony IMX800 camera
Details regarding the camera hardware of the Huawei P50 are not known as of now. However, it is rumored to be equipped with the world's first 1-inch Sony IMX800 primary camera. Up front, it will have a single selfie snapper.
The device will be powered by a Kirin 9000 chipset
The Huawei P50 will draw power from a Kirin 9000 processor, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. Under the hood, it will run on HarmonyOS and pack a 4,100mAh battery with fast-charging support. For connectivity, the device should offer support for Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, 5G, a headphone jack, and a Type-C port.
Huawei P50: Pricing and availability
Huawei will announce the pricing and availability details of the P50 smartphone at the time of launch, which is expected to happen on April 17. However, given the expected specifications and features, it is expected to cost around Rs. 60,000.
