Huawei P40, P40 Pro's leak reveals the entire spec sheet
Huawei is gearing up to announce its flagship P40 series of smartphones through an online event on March 26. Over the past few weeks, several leaks have come our way, giving us a fair idea of the upcoming P40 and P40 Pro models. And now, just days ahead of the launch event, full specifications of the handsets have been revealed by 91mobiles.
Huawei P40, P40 Pro: Design and display
According to earlier leaked renders, the P40 and P40 Pro will come with a punch-hole design. However, while the regular model will have ultra-slim bezels, the Pro variant will offer a bezel-less look, thanks to curved screen edges on all four sides. Moreover, the P40 and P40 Pro are tipped to come with 6.1-inch and 6.58-inch displays, respectively, with integrated fingerprint sensors.
P40 Pro said to offer 50x zoom capabilities
The P40 Pro 5G will sport a LEICA-engineered Ultra Vision quad-camera setup that will include a 50MP primary sensor, a 40MP secondary lens, a 12MP sensor, and a 3D ToF camera. The camera will come with a Huawei XD Fusion Engine for improved image processing, and will support 50x SuperSensing Zoom. On the front, it will sport a 32MP dual-lens camera setup.
Meanwhile, P40 will come with a triple-lens rear camera
According to the leak, the regular P40 will get a similar setup but with a 50MP main sensor, a 16MP sensor, and another 8MP lens. This arrangement will support up to 30X digital zoom and sport a dedicated Huawei XD Fusion Engine for image processing.
Under the hood
The P40 series will be powered by the flagship Kirin 990 5G chipset and come with Huawei Mobile Services and AppGallery, instead of Google services. Finally, the Pro model will pack a 4,200mAh battery, which will support 40W wired and 40W wireless charging. Meanwhile, the vanilla P40 will house a smaller 3,800mAh battery and support 40W wired as well as 27W wireless charging.
