Huawei P40 Lite, with 48MP quad camera, goes official
Ahead of the official unveiling of the flagship P40 series of smartphones, Huawei has silently launched the P40 Lite model. The new handset sports a punch-hole design, a 48MP main camera, 40W fast-charging support, and mid-level internals. The phone runs on Android 10-based OS with Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) support, but misses out on Google Play Store and other Google services.
A look at the Huawei P40 Lite
The Huawei P40 Lite sports a punch-hole design with a sizeable bezel at the bottom. On the rear, the dual-tone gradient finished panel houses a quad camera setup with an LED flash. The handset sports a 6.4-inch LCD screen with a full-HD+ (1080x2310 pixels) resolution. Apart from that, it also has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for secure unlocking.
For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers
In terms of optics, the Huawei P40 Lite houses a quad-lens rear camera setup comprising a 48MP (f/1.8) primary sensor, an 8MP (f/2.4) ultra-wide angle sensor, and a couple of 2MP (f/2.4) sensors for depth sensing and macro photography. For selfies, video calling, and face unlock, the handset sports a 24MP front-facing snapper.
Under the hood
The Huawei P40 Lite is powered by a Kirin 810 octa-core processor, coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage. It runs Android 10-based EMUI 10 and packs a solid 4,200mAh battery with 40W SuperCharge fast-charging support. Moreover, it offers all the latest connectivity options including support for dual-SIMs (Nano), dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, Type-C port, and a headphone jack.
And, what about pricing?
Huawei has not revealed the pricing of the P40 Lite as of now. But, according to a CNET report, the 6GB/128GB variant of the phone costs EUR 299 (approximately Rs. 23,400). Meanwhile, there is no word on the pricing of the 8GB RAM variant yet.
