This good looking Huawei smartphone may not launch in India
As the latest addition to its mid-range series, Huawei has launched the P Smart 2019. The phone features a full-HD+ display with a waterdrop-like notch, AI-powered cameras, a mid-range Kirin 710 processor and an eye-catching gradient design on the back. However, the odds are that this good-looking phone may not release in India. Here are the details.
Huawei P Smart 2019: At a glance
Up front, the phone sports an edge-to-edge "Huawei DewDrop Display" with a sizeable bottom bezel. On the rear, you have a dual-tone gradient design which offers "glossy ceramic-like texture" - quite an eye-catcher. Further, the Huawei P Smart 2019 features a 6.21-inch full-HD+ display with a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels, 19.5:9 aspect ratio and an Eye Comfort Mode (blue light filter).
For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers
On the back, the Huawei P Smart 2019 sports a dual camera setup comprising a 13MP main sensor with an f/2.2 aperture and a 2MP secondary sensor. The main camera also comes powered with several AI-based features which should include scene detection and portrait photography. Up front, the phone gets an 8MP selfie camera.
Under the hood
The phone is powered by a Huawei-made octa-core Kirin 710 processor, paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Huawei P Smart 2019 also comes with in-house GPU Turbo tech which boosts CPU performance while improving battery efficiency. Lastly, it comes with a 3,400mAh battery and runs Android Pie-based EMUI 9 out of the box.
Pricing and availability
Huawei P Smart 2019 will be available in select European countries for €250 (approx. Rs. 20,000), the phone is expected to hit the shelves starting January 2. In the UK, the phone is priced at £149 (approx. Rs. 13,230). It will be available starting January 11 via select carries including EE, CarphoneWarehouse, and O2. Unfortunately, there is no confirmation about its availability in India.
