Huawei Nova 5T, featuring four cameras, goes official
Expanding its portfolio of smartphones, Huawei has launched the Nova 5T in Malaysia. The handset arrives as a re-branded version of the already available Honor 20. However, the Nova 5T offers 8GB RAM as against Honor 20's 6GB RAM. As for key highlights, it comes with an all-glass design, quad rear cameras, full-HD+ display, and top-tier internals. First, a look at the Nova 5T
Up front, the Huawei Nova 5T comes with a punch-hole design and offers 91.7% screen-to-body ratio. On the backside, the gradient finished glass panel houses quad cameras and an LED flash. Further, the handset offers a 6.26-inch LCD display with a full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers
The Huawei Nova 5T offers a quad lens rear camera setup comprising a 48MP (f/1.8) primary sensor, 16MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide-angle camera, 2MP (f/2.4) dedicated macro camera, and a 2MP (f/2.4) depth sensor. Up front, it sports a 32MP (f/2.0) selfie shooter. Further, the main camera supports 4K video recording at 30fps, while the selfie camera can shoot 1080p videos at 30fps.
Under the hood
The Huawei Nova 5T is powered by a flagship grade Kirin 980 processor, paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The handset runs on Android Pie-based Magic 2.1 OS and packs a 3,750mAh battery with support for 22.5W Huawei SuperCharge technology. Lastly, it offers all standard sensors and latest connectivity options like dual-SIMs (Nano), VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11a/c, Bluetooth 5.0, and USB Type-C port.
And, what about pricing?
As for the pocket pinch, Nova 5T is priced at MYR 1,599 (approximately Rs. 27,200) for the solo 8GB/128GB variant in the Malaysian market. The pre-orders for the phone will commence from August 29, while it will go on sale starting September 7. Meanwhile, it is unlikely to arrive in India, as the Honor 20 is already available in Indian markets at Rs. 29,999.
