Huawei MatePad Pro renders leaked, reveal Apple iPad Pro-like design
Huawei is apparently working to launch a new tablet and it looks like Apple's iPad Pro, according to the renders shared by 91Mobiles. The upcoming tablet, most likely to be called MatePad Pro (via acclaimed tipster Even Blass), will sport a design similar to Apple's flagship tablet but with a punch-hole screen and dual rear cameras. Here's our roundup.
Huawei MatePad Pro: Design and display
The Huawei MatePad Pro looks heavily inspired by the iPad Pro with rounded corners, slimmer and proportional bezels, as well as a thin metallic body. However, the Huawei tablet will feature a punch-hole design to house the front-facing camera. An in-screen fingerprint sensor or face authentication technology is also on the cards, considering these renders do not show a physical fingerprint reader.
MatePad Pro to get a dual-lens rear camera
The renders have also confirmed the presence of a dual-lens rear camera on the MatePad Pro. And while the specs of these sensors remain unknown at present, we expect to see a standard lens combined with a telephoto or wide-angle sensor to offer some versatility.
It'll also come with a smart keyboard and stylus
The Huawei tablet also seems to support a magnetic keyboard case, which again looks pretty identical to Apple's Smart Keyboard Folio case. However, we don't know if the case will come bundled in the box or sold separately. The MatePad Pro also appears to get a new M-Pen stylus which will attach to the top of the tablet, possibly via magnets, and charge wirelessly.
The tablet is tipped to come with flagship-grade chipset
According to 91Mobiles, the MatePad Pro might come with "flagship-class specifications, including the Kirin 990 SoC, upto 8GB RAM, upto 256GB storage, and a large battery." As for its launch, it may arrive early next year considering its predecessor, the MediaPad M6, is just 4-months-old.
