Huawei has launched its first-ever 5G smartphone, the Mate 20 X 5G, in China at CNY 6,199 (approximately Rs. 62,000). The 5G model shares most of its specifications with the LTE model. However, it gets a smaller battery and improved charging capabilities. The handset comes with a full-HD+ display, triple rear cameras, 4,200mAh battery, and top-of-the-line internals. Here's more.

The phone sports a waterdrop notched display with a thin bottom bezel on the front. On the rear side, the glass back with glossy finish houses square-shaped triple camera module, LED flash, 5G logo, and a physical fingerprint scanner. Further, it flaunts a 7.2-inch OLED display (1080*2244 pixels) with full-HD+ resolution, 18.7:9 aspect ratio and is IP53 rated for dust and water resistance.

In terms of optics, the Huawei Mate 20 X 5G houses triple rear cameras comprising 40MP (f/1.8) main sensor, 8MP (f/2.4) telephoto lens with 3x zoom, and 20MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide-angle sensor. Up front, the phone sports a 24MP (f/2.0) single selfie snapper. Moreover, the main camera can record 4K videos at 30fps, while the selfie camera can shoot 1080p videos at 30fps.

The handset runs on Android Pie-based EMUI 9.1 OS and packs a 4,200mAh battery with 40W fast-charging support. Meanwhile, the LTE model offers a 5,000mAh battery with 22.5W fast charging technology.

The Huawei Mate 20 X 5G offers all latest connectivity options including support for dual-SIMs (Nano), dual-band Wi-FI, Bluetooth, GPS, Dolby Atmos sound and USB Type-C port. Moreover, it gets all standard sensors including accelerometer, barometer, proximity, gyroscope, and compass.
