Huawei launches the Nova 2 Lite smartphone in Philippines
Huawei has launched it latest smartphone - the Nova 2 Lite - in the Philippines. The Nova 2 Lite is currently available for pre-order and will hit the shelves on March 23 with a price tag of PHP 9,990 (approximately Rs. 12,500). However, it is still uncertain if Huawei would bring the Nova 2 Lite to other markets or not. Here's our roundup.
At a glance
The Nova 2 Lite enters the market as Huawei's mid-range offering and sports a 5.99-inch HD+ IPS (720x1440 pixels) display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone features a metal unibody design, sports a dual-camera setup and fingerprint sensor on the rear panel. Available in two color variants - Black and Blue - the smartphone measures 76.7x158.3x7.8 mm and weighs 155 grams.
In terms of Optics
The Nova 2 Lite features a rear dual-camera setup which includes a primary 13-megapixel camera and a 2-megapixel secondary camera paired with an LED flash. On the front, you get an 8-megapixel selfie camera along with support for Face Unlock feature. The smartphone runs Android 8.0 Oreo out-of the box with Huawei's custom EMUI 8.0 skin layered on top.

The Nova 2 Lite is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC paired with 3GB of RAM. As far as storage is concerned, you get 32GB inbuilt storage which can be expanded upto 128GB using a microSD card. In terms of connectivity options and battery, the phone supports 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS, Micro-USB port and packs a 3,000mAh battery.
