Xiaomi-owned Huami launches Amazfit Verge with OLED display, 5-day battery
As the latest addition to its portfolio of smart wearables, Xiaomi-backed Huami has launched the Amazfit Verge smartwatch in China. The Amazfit Verge, designed to track multisport activities, features an AMOLED display, has built-in GPS and NFC, has IP68-rated build quality and lasts around 5 days on a single charge. Huami Amazfit Verge: At a glance
Amazfit Verge features a 1.30-inch AMOLED display, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage. In terms of onboard sensors, it has an optical sensor, accelerometer, air pressure sensor, ambient light, geomagnetic sensor, and gyroscope. Moreover, it runs Android-based Amazfit OS and comes with Xiao AI voice assistant and Mijia integration for smart home control.
Amazfit Verge is designed to track multisport activity
The Amazfit Verge has 11 motion tracking modes that cover multisport activities such as running, walking, mountaineering, tennis, and football. Along with smartphone integration (both iOS and Android), the smartwatch also has built-in support for Alipay and WeChat - both popular services within China. Further, in terms of connectivity options, the Amazfit Verge has Bluetooth v4.0 (LE), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, and NFC.
Pricing and Availability
Priced at CNY 799 (approx. Rs. 8,400), the Huami Amazfit Verge is now available in China in Moonlight White, Sky Grey, and Twilight Blue color variants. However, the India availability of this smartwatch is currently not known.
