Huami Amazfit GTS launched with AMOLED display, 14-day battery life
As the latest addition to its portfolio of smartwatches, Xiaomi-backed Huami has launched the Amazfit GTS in India. The new wearable comes with an Apple Watch-esque design, offering an AMOLED display, waterproof build quality, and two-week battery life. The smartwatch also supports several health-focused features and it'll go on sale starting today via Amazon. Here's our roundup.
Huami Amazfit GTS: At a glance
Right of the bat, the Amazfit GTS looks a lot like Apple Watch Series 5 with a rectangular display, curved edges, and slim bezels. The watch features a 1.65-inch (348x442 pixels) AMOLED touchscreen display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection, aluminum casing, and silicone straps. It is also waterproof up to 50m and can be purchased in two sizes: 42.6mm and 47.2mm.
Huami Amazfit GTS offers upto 14-day battery life
Behind the sharp and vivid screen, the Amazfit GTS packs a 220mAh battery which is rated to offer up to 14-days of life on a single charge. It also comes with GPS+GLONASS dual positioning function, Bluetooth v5.0, optical heart rate sensor, BioTracker PPG, 6-axis acceleration sensor, 3-axis geomagnetic sensor, air pressure sensor, and ambient light sensor.
The smartwatch offers a bunch of health-related features
The Amazfit GTS can track 12 different sports including running, cycling, swimming, mountaineering, trail running, and skiing. After workouts sessions, you can track GPS map, distance, pace, calories, altitude, time and others. You can also monitor multiple health-centric parameters such as sedentary reminder, calorie consumption, sleep analysis, and so on. The smartwatch also connects with your smartphone to provide call and message notifications.
Pricing and availability
The 42.6mm model costs Rs. 9,999 whereas the 47.2mm model is priced at Rs. 10,999. Both models will go on sale today via Amazon but they were not listed on the e-commerce platform at the time of writing this article.
