Xiaomi-owned Huami launches its smartwatches in India
Xiaomi-owned wearable brand Huami has launched its Amazfit Bip and Amazfit Stratos smartwatches in India. The entry-level Amazfit Bip is priced at Rs. 5,499, while the high-end Amazfit Stratos costs Rs. 15,999. Both the wearables are now available on Flipkart. The Amazfit Bip comes in Cinnabar Red, Kokoda Green, Onyx Black, and White Cloud colors, while Stratos is available only in Black color.
Huami Amazfit Stratos: At a glance
Amazfit Stratos sports a 1.34-inch trans-reflective color LCD panel with 2.5D curved glass and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The wearable is powered by a dual-core 1.2GHz processor, paired with 512MB RAM and 4GB storage and offers a battery life of 5 days. Compatible with both iOS and Android (via Mi Fit 3.0 app), the smartwatch supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, GPS, and GLONASS.
Amazfit Stratos can track activity and measure heart rate
The Amazfit Stratos can track activity and monitor heart rate, thanks to an array of sensors which include an optical (PPG) heart rate sensor, a three-axis accelerometer, air pressure sensor, ambient light sensor, barometer, geomagnetic sensor, and gyroscope. The smartwatch is water-resistance up to 50m.
What's the Amazfit Bip offering?
The Huami Amazfit Bip gets a 1.28-inch trans-reflective color display with 2.5D curved glass and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The smartwatch comes with an Always-On display feature and is compatible with both iOS and Android. Amazfit Bip is IP68 rated, offers a battery life of up to 45 days on a single charge and can be customized with changeable watch bands.

Much like the Amazfit Stratos, the Amazfit Bip can track activity and monitor heart rate as well - thanks to an optical (PPG) heart rate sensor. Other sensors onboard the Huami wearable include a three-axis acceleration sensor, barometer, electronic compass, GPS and a geomagnetic sensor.
