HTC Wildfire X, featuring triple rear-camera, launched at Rs. 9,999
Taking on the likes of Realme 3i and Redmi Note 7S, HTC brand licensee InOne Smart Technology has launched the HTC Wildfire X in India. The budget-friendly phone features a waterdrop notched display, in-trend gradient design, triple rear cameras, and mid-level internals. It comes at a starting price of Rs. 9,999 and will go on sale starting August 22. Here's everything to know.
HTC Wildfire X: At a glance
The HTC Wildfire X, like many of its competitors, features a waterdrop notched screen and slim yet noticeable bottom bezel. On the rear, the curved polycarbonate panel gets a reflective mirror finish with 'Hyper Optical patterns.' The phone offers a 6.22-inch HD+ (720x1520 pixels) IPS display with a near 89% screen-to-body ratio and a good old fingerprint reader mounted on the backside.

The triple-lens rear camera unit on the HTC Wildfire X features a 12MP primary sensor, an 8MP secondary sensor equipped with 2x optical zoom, and a 5MP depth sensor for advanced bokeh effects. Up front, there's an 8MP selfie snapper with an 86-degree wide-angle lens.
Under the hood
The HTC Wildfire X is powered by an octa-core MediaTek P22 chipset, paired with 3GB/4GB of RAM and 32GB/12GB of built-in storage (expandable upto 256GB). Under the hood, it runs on Android Pie OS and packs a 3,300mAh battery that supports 10W fast charging via USB Type-C port. The phone also offers all standard sensors and connectivity options including 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth.
HTC Wildfire X also comes with a "MyBuddy" safety feature
HTC Wildfire X also comes with a small, cylindrical, and "fearless" accessory called "MyBuddy". In case of an emergency/dangerous situation, you can pull out the accessory from the shell to trigger a loud alarm, send live location, and transmit audio/video of the surroundings in real-time.
Pricing, availability, and launch offers
The HTC Wildfire X costs Rs. 9,999 for the 3GB/32GB model and Rs. 12,999 for the 4GB/128GB variant. Notably, these prices are introductory and valid for a limited period only. The handset will go on sale through Flipkart starting August 22 and if you're a Vodafone or Idea subscriber, you can avail coupons worth Rs. 3,750 along with additional 500MB daily data for 18-months.
