What does HTC U11+ have to offer?
HTC U11+, unveiled in Nov'17, comes with specs that are similar to most 2017 flagships. It sports a 6-inch 18:9 "nearly bezel-less" Quad-HD+ Super LCD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top. U11+ is powered by Qualcomm's octa-core Snapdragon 835 SoC paired with 6GB RAM, and 128GB internal storage. It has 3,930mAh battery with QuickCharge 3.0 support and runs Android 8.0 Oreo.
HTC U11+ doesn't have dual camera setup unlike other flagships
Coming to the optics, HTC U11+ sports an 8MP selfie shooter with a f/2.0 aperture, HDR Boost, and noise reduction. On back, the device features a 12MP UltraPixel camera with a f/1.7 aperture with autofocus, BSI (Backside Illumination) sensor, Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), and dual LED flash. It supports 4K video recording. It comes with full-sensor phase detection autofocus seen in top DSLR cameras.
HTC's Edge Sense allows users to squeeze the smartphone
HTC U11+ comes with the company's signature "Edge Sense" technology that allows users to "squeeze" the device's edges to launch apps, open camera, capture images, and activate the voice assistant. Instead of voice commands, Edge Sense can be used to access Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. The device has built-in Edge Launcher that helps user access apps and notifications with a single hand.
Device comes with HTC's Sense Companion
HTC U11+ comes with an IP68 rating to protect it against water and dust. Also, the smartphone comes with the Taiwanese device-maker's voice assistant HTC Sense Companion that can regularly read the user's everyday patterns and learn. The personal companion offers information, set reminders, provide recommendations, etc. It sports a rear-facing fingerprint sensor on a see-through glass back. The dual-SIM device supports 4G connectivity.
Loudest-ever speakers on any HTC device
HTC U11+ packs the company's BoomSound speakers, which is reportedly the loudest ever put on an HTC smartphone. It is at least 30% louder than its predecessor HTC U11. Also, the HTC USonic earbuds have built-in advanced active noise cancellation.
